Tyra Banks Striking The Pose For Marcus Gaab? Maybe.

Okay I am not trying to reach for perfection here ~~and 'yes' a part of me wants to be a panel judge of ANTM for a while so please allow me~~ but when one is a celebrity, you just can't be ignored (Even if you do not make it to the 'A' list, every part of you is have and will always be scrutinized). I think it is expected that people would expect the best in you. And if you are a celebrity, it's your job to do that. But what happens if your 'best' doesn't really fit the 'best' standards of everybody? Exactly.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I find this highly, highly bloggable. ~~And I haven't forgiven Tyra for the end results of ANTM cycle 17 'All-Star. So here it goes.~~ If you look closely and I am sure that you would, you'd notice a lot of things that slightly missed the marks in this youtube video.

I do not know if the video lacks editing, lighting, or rigorous editing but if the aim of the director was to show the true beauty of Tyra Banks on film then I guess he really did a good job.If not, then I guess its a Britney Spears 'Oops!' y'all! As for Tyra 'striking the pose', it's all good for a still shot but when you look at it in film, it's different as she looks old and her acting looks as fake and as rigged as her t.v. show. ~~Sorry Ty you don't get my kudos on this one.~~

Okay, I'm showing you these stills to prove my point and to completely put you in shock with what Tyra and Photoshop has been hiding all these years. Ladies?

Notice the caking of the makeup? Not only that, take a closer look at her makeup. Did a makeup factory explode in her face? This is so not ANTM standards.

Her hands. OMG. They look like the hands of a very old lady. Tyra? Why did you let yourself go? I know you've been busy and all, but this? Seriously? Have you ever heard of hand moisturizers? Where did all your money go?

Wrinkles on the cheeks and neck? Thank God for Photoshop.

Nothing can get as fake as this. Sorry Ty, you've been so keen on advising those girls on ANTM about how 'not' to appear fake on film and on stills. Well guess what? You just jumped in the bandwagon! Ha!

I've never seen Tyra Banks look this Bad on film. (I am not referring to her styling and her hair. It's amazing, honestly). Guess this is the day of reckoning. She better stick to modeling because by what she is doing, well, she kinda looks like a 'has been'.

I thought to myself: 'Ooher, who is this cutie? Is he one of those musician-turned-model type of guy?'. There was a ringing in my head when I read the words 'Tyler Posey'. I thought there was something familiar with his sexy grin too. Ah, yes.

No one told me that he's all grown up now. I remember him way, way back in the movie 'Maid in Manhattan' as the smart and shy child of Jennifer Lopez. In all honesty I thought that his career ended there. Until I stumbled upon his photos.

He is very good looking, I would have never recognized him had I not done a background check. Thank God for my curiosity and for my affinity with good looking guys. Ha.

His name is Mark Whittington and he is half Filipino and half British ~~that accounts to 1 point out of three~~, he has tats in all the right places ~~another score there~~, and he loves music I guess (all models love music i ~~guess i get a half point here then? Yes?~~).

This 21 year old model has been working for quite some time now and has appeared in several ads to date. He is currently residing in Australia in pursuit of a better modeling career.

Isn't he just gorgeous? Checked him out online and I discovered that he has a mix of British and Aussie accent, a very sexy Brit-Aussie accent if you ask me.

Yes, the model. That's how ANTM's runway coach Miss Jay Alexander would put it. Just seen the book and I've readily decided to buy the book and put in on my wishlist. Speaking of wish lists, I've been meaning to write top 10 of my carnal cravings for the holiday season. Nuff said.

Upon reading the preview and some reviews of the book, Follow The Model; there's a line that made much sense to me. Miss J quoted: "Follow FASHION, not TRENDS". I find every bit of truth in what he said. Over the course of time people get the wrong impression on how 'fashion' should be carried out. Fashion is INDIVIDUALITY and ORIGINALITY encased in one soul. I think the reason why Miss J quoted this is because he sees desperation. People get caught up in fashion that they turn it into a frenzied trend and infest the minds of the innocent people. Fashion is part inspiration and part intelligence. You have to know your aesthetic and stick to it. No?

Okay Now, When Is Too Much Editing 'Too Much?'

Saw this last month and instead of feeding my excitement, I found myself rather disappointed. Last October, Armani launched their cosmetics campaign featuring Megan Fox as the face of Armani Cosmetics. I dunno if I am missing the point here since this is the 'cosmetic' division after all, but something about this ad campaign screams 'No, No, No' to me.

Most of the people might have seen passed the beauty that is Megan Fox, but I haven't. I am not referring to the styling (it's amazing trust me) or Megan Fox herself (she is gorgeous even without Photoshop), but I am rather perplexed at how Megan's photos are heavily manipulated; It did not do her justice at all. To me (and I'm pretty sure all would agree), if no one told me that this lady here is 'Megan Fox' I would not have noticed. I would instantly think that this is another model. Seriously. There's just too much air brushing and liquefying going on. No?

So why blog about this now? Can't give you a concrete answer. Maybe I just got annoyed at how these photos magically pop out of fashion blogs and no one ever taking time to talk about how beautiful this would have appeared had they not done too much editing. Just saying. Also, even if the quality of the photos here are not as clear as day, I can tell that there is too much airbrushing going on, which leaves me to question how this would look like in HD.

I don't think I need to introduce you guys to these lovely duo. That said, YES Jedward (John and Edward) released their first music video entitled 'Wow Oh Wow' today! And from the looks of it, they pack more than just talent and good looks. Ladies?

Well okay, not so much with talent BUT I am positive that they have something. I dunno, can't really explain it. Watched the video and I thought that it was an absolute delight to have seen it. They haven't changed, they're still the same fun loving people I have seen since the X-Factor. These boys are extremely good looking, I just want to kiss them in the forehead and give them a golden star.

How Does Art Inspire You?

I can say that I have a little bit of what everybody has here. I cannot ground myself to an identifier having seen this people. Like them, I too have my own unique story of how my appreciation of art and fashion came about. I'm going to skip the hairy details but if you really want to know, just message me or something. Ha.

I have the highest admiration for these people. I believe that fashion is not and cannot be grounded in any way. I believe that fashion is FREEDOM. Freedom from the norms and from what society dictates (referring to what is okay and not okay to wear). I believe that in order to be successful you have to be authentic. Take Tavi and Bryanboy for example; These people did not excel in the world of fashion because they followed a well made path, but they excelled because of their high respects for fashion, freedom, appreciation of originality, and individuality. They treaded towards uncharted waters and they made their own path. That's the liking of a great fashion blogger if you ask me.

Though loving fashion in general would put you in the right spot, you have to understand that there is more to fashion than just clothes and the latest trends. What are these things you ask me? Look inside your fashionable heart, you'll see the answer.

Elie Saab has always been one of my personal favorites during runways. I think that this designer understands the female body really well, and she knows how to accentuate the sexiest part of a woman's body without making her look slutty and tacky at the same time. Fall just started to kick in and I am one cold away from freezing like ice. I dunno why but I have the shortest tolerance to anything that is cold. Bella? No, no, seriously, I am. I can't even stay long in a place that is air conditioned. Summer is for me, i love the heat. I wish it was summer all year long. boohoo. That said, I do not necessarily hate the Fall season, I love the fashion that goes along with it. Fall for me is love, it's where the trees turn orange and its where everybody starts to look fashionably chic once again. No?

I have fabulous finds for everybody. Because of Fall and because of my undying support for fashion, i led me to a site that holds fabulous upon fabulous finds! After the movie franchise of Harry Potter has ended, and after all appreciation was given, and after all emotions about the movie has died down, we now shed light to two memorable characters in the movie; Draco and Ron for a clearly inspiring lookbook. Ladies?

It is nice to see Rupert Grint and Tom Felton making news in fashion. Something that is clearly far from the movie scene. In what seems as a very melancholic and artistic approach to a lookbook, I give them kudos for invoking these sensitive heartstrings I never thought I had.

Hong Kong's popular street brand is knocking at your doorstep and presenting you a whole lot of new amazing clothes this season. Speaking of amazing, who else would they choose to sport their fabulous clothes but non other than my favorite male model of all time, Ash Stymest. It's really good to see him back in fashion.

I believe that he registers well with his photos. He has just so much heart and personality with what he does that his photographs really show the amount of dedication he puts in his work as a model. I think that this is something you would all agree to. Non?

5 CM's Fall/Winter collection for 2011 is just amazing! We see a lot of Rock N' Roll coming back to fashion as it currently is the trend inspiration of designers. The well tailored clothes of 5 CM and the styling of Way Perry is incredibly fashionable, and if you ask me, YES, it sparks major hotness points as well. Kudos to fashion photographer David Roemer for these fabulous, fabulous shots of Ash. Looking forward to more of his works in the future.

What are your current hairstyle favorites for 2011?

Back when I still had long wavy hair, I used to love the bedroom look (and I still do until now) but the thing with my hair now is that it is super straight. Not that I find super straight hairs bad, no no, they're prefect! But when like me, you consider yourself a person who almost always edits yourself, then sticking to one hairstyle wouldn't really do would it? Anyhooha, two months ago I had my hair rebonded only to find out after a few weeks that i want my old hair back. I know, bohoo. I try to channel my thoughts to different things but our gardener wouldn't let me kick him in the, well, you know, so I get stuck bored out of my mind in trying to find a happy place. but the bombarding Image of this hairstyle just couldn't escape my head. I just have to try it on.

Ladies and fembots, I am introducing you to finger curls. I find interest in them because not only do I love vintage but the process in achieving these type of curls do not require you to have a curling iron or anything that uses heat. All you need with you are hair products and tons of talent. If you work in a salon or if you have a background in hair grooming then you pretty much know what I am talking about.

Sasha Pivovarova sparks major hotness points for having this kind of hairstyle and she makes me want to just snatch her hair away if i could only but i wouldn't want my favorite model go bald would i now?. That said, Here are some finger curls that has a modern twist to it. Ladies?

I'm so glad to see Ash Stymest gracing back in the cover of magazines. I really am. I have more to post so you guys better be ready. Anyhooha, you see him featured in this year's debut issue of Sheer Magazine. 2011 seems to be a good year for Ash. I have missed him so, and I am sure you have also. That said, you see familiar faces? Yes you got that right. Along with him are two well renowned people in the field of fashion and music as well, it-boy Jake Cooper & Leah Weller daughter of Paul Weller. Late Summer, Early Fall. Accessories we Love.

Sorry for being so out of the limelight you guys! I was down with something and before you go into conclusions, NO, i am not sliding down that slippery slope, and NO, I am not in a fashion rut. It's quite the opposite actually. Notice that Summer is almost ending and Fall starts to kick in? Yes, let us all welcome heavy clothes and all that jazz. Fall is a melancholic season for me, the leaves turn orange, people in pairs, all that drama; Yes yes, that said, I can't help but be inspired with these fabulous accessories to incorporate this summer. Ladies? Shall we?

Nothing can beat fabulousness than a pair of fabulous bags. Leather for day and sequins for night. If you, like me, happen to love old romantic movies then you would definitely love leather. Think romance on a leather couch, only better cause you get to travel with it. And if you love old vintage glam, I see no reason why you wouldn't throw in a cute chiffon dress with a sequin clutch bag?

Moving on..

Vintage finds. Yes! lovely vintage accessories from Very shop. How lovely would it be to stroll down the streets with nothing but vintage inspiration set in your heart? Would you just love to go vintage with accessories that would make you stand out? I'm sure you'd love to. As for me, my choice for vintage finds is influenced by two movies. Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's and Funny Face. Think about wearing a timeless piece of accessory peeping through the glass of Tiffany & Co. or better yet, Think of wearing a Camel colored leather jacket while walking down the Seine. Wouldn't that be inspiring?

Finally.

Speaking of inspiration from movies, I would have to pick one of my favorite fashion movies, The Devil Wears Prada. I remember the scene where Emily played by Emily Blunt was pre-interviewing Andy (Anne Hathaway). I'm sure it all rings a bell. How much lovelier can a feather capelet be? I just love this piece, I really do, feather's will always be my source of fashion pride and joy. I'm getting one and I think you should too!

I couldn't muster the strength to gather myself this morning upon waking up and hearing the news of Amy Winehouse's death. I grew up listening to Amy Winehouse's music and it saddens me to know that she would no longer be writing those soulful and downright truthful sad songs she does best. My only wish is that may her soul rest in peace. She will be missed. Tremendously.

Is it just me or is the ginger Prince Harry looking quite the stunner in this photograph? He looks mature and and very very good looking now, It's criminal already. Ha.

That said, Prince Harry is supporting a treak to the North Pole in a campaign to raise money for wounded servicemen. GQ Magazine (UK) calls this issue "Walking with the Wounded" and these fabulous pictures were photographed by David Bailey.

Hot and Noble. I like that, No, WE like that. Isn't Prince Harry adorable or what?

To Japan and the Japanese people my prayers are with you.

It's already been 2 days since i got hooked on the t.v. and CNN to get the latest updates on the disaster that struck Japan. Days ago Japan suffered a series of earthquakes until a tsunami struck and left most of her people homeless, lost, and (i regret saying this) dead.

My heart breaks for Japan and the Japanese people. I could not imagine the kind of trauma everybody in Japan is going through right now. And for that my prayers are with them.

Wishes and prayers have been offered by many but I wish that everybody would be able to help more. I am giving what I am earning from this blog to Japan because I think to save lives and to help others in need is much more important than buying the latest trend for spring.

Two days ago, I found it kinda funny when my mother called me, crying, and checking if i was okay. I found it funny because I thought that my mother was overreacting and that it wasn't necessary. But after what seemed like an hour of talking, I felt bad because somewhere out there, somewhere in Japan, a mother was reaching out to her son, crying, and calling, but no one was there to pick up the phone. And for that, it created within me a depth of insight and understanding that cannot be taught.

It's no longer happy hearts month, but this one goes to Chris Medina.

I know you watch American Idol so I wouldn't dare ask if you know Chris Medina because I know you do. And if you have seen the music video of his first single What Are Words, then you would know the whole story.

Words cannot describe how much I feel for him when I have seen this. I am not that much of an American Idol fan and I have never seen him audition but after listening to the music, after hearing him sing, and after seeing his audition on Idol plus the music video. I was touched. It created within me a depth of insight and understanding that cannot be taught. Made me believe that true love still exists and that there are still good men out there.

I wish him well, I do.

This just in! Finally the official music video to Lady Gaga's song, Born This Way. I was suprised by her music video (well not really, cause I know that she would do something utterly too too) because not more than 24 hours ago, I viewed her video and I saw myself being the 330th viewer, so after the gorgeous music video and after all praises have been tossed away in the land of facebook and twitter I decided to hit the sack post Mother Monster's video when I wake up. To my suprise, after visiting youtube once again and viewing the page I was the 623,019th viewer! Top that! nuff said, here is the manifesto of mother monster. Ladies and fembots, indulge!

So I after further examining my hair earlier today I felt the need to check on my wardrobe for spring is almost approaching a like any spring day, I will then be very busy spring cleaning. But before that, new clothes, yeahp, I am in a bad need of new clothes. So I surfed the net, found myself ogling at the fabulous site called Very and, Viola! Ladies?

Saw these two online and i thought i find these boots very cute. This screams spring to me. What? Is that floral I hear? Yes babe, it's not groundbreaking but who doesn't love floral for spring? and pink? come now.

Moving on. My eyes weren't hooked on boots alone, they were also geared to something sophisticated and fun. Yes I currently have the appetite for a cheery disposition and heavy spring time partying. So, here's what reflects glam and party in my book of high street clothing range and style.

Is this still okay or am I close to looking like a bush baby already? That said, I think I need a new hairstyle but I can't decide on any. I usually don't ask for things like these but all things are a case to case basis, so, waddup?! Ha. (P.S. Don't mind me half naked, and don't ask for anything underneath or whatnot cause trust me, there is nothing to see). I dunno, what good products are out there? It's a sad day for all "Breakfast at Tiffany's" fans.

It's a a very sad day for all you "Breakfast at Tiffany's" fans out there. Word just came in (despite my very long absence. Can you believe it?) that Blake Edwards, director of the hailed fashion movie passed away last Wednesday from complications due to pneumonia. He was 88 years old.

"May he rest in peace with Audrey Hepburn and all the other fashion icons that that guided us through all the fashionable years of our lives..."

Anyhooha, speaking of almost facing oblivion from the blog sphere, It's been ages since I last blogged about Ash stymest and finally! after what seems like forever, I stumbled to a very very juicy ad campaign shot by David Roemer for 5cm's Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Lo and behold.

Does this wow you or what? I almost forgot how good Ash is when it comes to posing and all that jazz. He is truly amazing. Kudos to the stylist and all the people behind this grand ad campaign and kudos to Ash Stymest for making a comeback.

I am in a bad need of a divine intervention.

My aplogies for being out for quite a long time. Haven't really found lotsa good things to blog about lately or maybe I'm just not in a very cheer disposition, or maybe i lost my touch. Ha! Whichever may, I just felt the need to go on a divine intervention spree. (Yes, I DO pray)

It's been a gloomy week actually. Its raining cats and dogs that I pretty much had no choice but to sulk in pathetic melancholy. Don't get me wrong, I do love the rain, I do want to run around in gorgeous chiffon clothes and get them wet and have a great photoshoot but I guess we have those times where sitting by the windowsill would pretty much make our day. No?

Zac Posen RTW Spring 2011 Collection

Zac Posen's collection is contemporary in its finest. He featured a lot of pieces I love most. A little bird on my shoulder told me that the theme of Zac Posen's collection is "Showgirl Boudoir" and all that glittery jazz. I can see showgirl in this collection for black lace, feathers, and fur were present in almost every piece. Yum.

There are Three things I love about this collection. First, It's Zac Posen oI think he is cute plus I love men with curly hair. So, waddup? next is that I see feathers making a comeback in fashion, then the models who dare tread the fabulous runway of Paris; Jourdan Dunn, Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha, Vlada Roslyakova, Isabeli Fontana, Behati Prinsloo, Olga Sherer, Carmen Kass. Kudos!

Balmain RTW Spring 2011 Collection

I just absolutely love this collection, by far, this is my favorite. Here you can see a lot of killer pieces and I am pretty sure that these pieces would be in our closets soon. No? Nuff said, take a look at some of my personal favorites. Shall we?

I love it. Absolutley. I am lost for words when I've seen the entire collection. God. there are pieces here that would send me to cloud 9. A little bird on my shoulder told me that Christophe Decarnin's inspiration for the whole collection is twenty-first-century proto-punks. Here you can see studded and pinned biker jackets (which I happen to love), tight bleached jeans, and jeans with shredded cut-offs with both vintage and acid washed tees to match. Basically the whole pop culture and its glittery jazz if i may say.

See familiar faces? Carmen Kass, Sasha Pivovarova, Snejana Onopka, Isabeli Fontana, Anja Rubik, Daria Werbowy, and Abbey Lee Kershaw in the house y'all!

This year, Nicolas Ghesquière of Balenciaga did a good show. I'm not crazy about the whole collection though. Let's just say that I do not find this collection uber appetizing, but there are a lot of stand-out pieces I would gladly put in my closet. You decide.

I believe that Christian Siriano's Spring/Summer 2011 Collection and Christian Siriano himself is a force to reckon with.

After the lights are switched off and after the music died, after further research and after taking New York Fashion Week to a cross-section, I have chosen my favorite collection of the bunch. This person isn't new to you I'm pretty sure, if (like me) you have been a fan of Project Runway and all things fierce you would know the name Christian Siriano.

I have been a Christian Siriano fan for as long as I can remember. I love his personal style and I also love how ORIGINAL this person is. If you look closely at the designs you will see how intricate they are and you would also see how original the design of his clothes are. By far I think that he is a possible candidate to step in for Alexander McQueen. You think?

This collection is by far the best collection I have seen by far. I love all the pieces made. Don't you think? Isn't this collection stellar or what? Major Hotness Points perhaps?

I could not stress enough on how Brad Kroenig & Baptiste Giabiconi looked amazing back at CHANEL's F/W 10/11 collection. I so love the fashion. I so love the fur. That said, Chanel never cease to amaze us, noh?

Too bad I wasn't able to blog about this. After having celebrated 30 years of publishing and over 300 issues made, i-D Magazine hired fashion photographer Nick Knight to capture 200 portraits of every famous person in the fashion biz. Of the 200 people, here we can see Cole Mohr, Josh Beech, Ash Stymest, and Jethro Cave included. God I love men male models. Especially the skinny ones with heavy tattoos printed almost everywhere. You know, the kind of guys your parents warned you about.

Moving on.

Vogue Hommes Japan is going iPad! I have been a huge fan of this Vogue Hommes Japan ever since they featured Ash Stymest on their cover waay back. This magazine has lotsa fashion in it. Kudos to Pierre Debusschere the photographer, and the infamous Nicola Formichetti for the impeccable styling. You guys better have it (and the future issues) on your iPads. This is exciting. Nuff Said.

Since when did John and Edward get so Hot?

My loves, apologies for not having posted the last few days, I wasn't feeling very well and the doctor advised me to stay away from the computer. Since then, I was trying to channel my thoughts and have fun while lying in bed but the nurse wouldn't let me punch him in his private parts so I threw the doctor's advise, turned on the internet, ogle on so many things I have missed, blog, and wish that the doctor is wrong. Ha.

Moving on... Searching the net, I have seen these two undeniably gorgeous boys and I would like us all to caption these photos.

Remember these two? yeahp, they are the in famous "Jedward" John and Edward Grimes from X-Factor UK series. They're all grown up and very very good looking. I'll say, Since when did John and Edward get so hot?

The influx of Irish me in my life never cease to amaze me. I love Irish men, i find them very very cute. And they give me more of that twilight-vampire feel compared to the movie. Seriously, who wouldn't want to get bitten by these two hotties?

By the way, these undeniable gorgeous photos were taken by the much loved Kai Z Feng. He is such an inspiration to photographers out there. I can tell. I can also tell that he loves photography and art as the picture shows it.

Back when supermodels ruled the fashion scene, Cindy Crawford was a name ubiquitous to all. I mean, who could ever forget that staggering physique and yes, the mole too!
